Rishi Sunak said in his push to become Prime Minister: “High inflation won’t grow the economy; it will make everyone poorer. Inflation is our enemy and that is the immediate priority fiscal task I will tackle.”

Yet, even with the recent Government’s welcome support to counter the high costs of heating our homes and businesses, we’ve seen no sign of any first line monetary tactics to reduce inflation or creative ways to grow the economy.

Nothing has been done to encourage us to visit high street shops, restaurants, and cinemas for example. The squeeze on our disposable income, if you have any of that left, has been relentless.

This anti-driver government must also take much of the blame, in making it almost impossible to use our cars anymore. The conspiracists will say this is a deliberate part of Tory net zero policy. Maybe so, but It’s also the government’s day to day economic bungling that is making our lives so dreadful! They are simply clueless when it comes to understanding low taxation is an incentive for realising more growth taxes.

So, as a driver or road user, what do you want from Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s November 17th Budget. PLEASE take part in this quick 6-minute poll so we can get the results to the Govt and the media before the Budget

I met with Rishi Sunak during the Tory Leadership Election. He recognised and congratulated me on FairFuelUK being instrumental in keeping Fuel Duty Frozen since 2011 and getting a 5p cut in March 2022. He also said our campaigning, surveys and supporter pressure really do make a difference.

Thank you so much

Best Wishes
