FREENOW, Europe’s Mobility Super App with the largest number of vehicles in one platform, including black cabs, private hire vehicles, e-scooters and e-bikes, has added Voi e-scooters to its list of micromobility partners available in London.
Voi started operating in London last month as part of Phase 2 of the Transport for London e-scooter trials. The e-scooter and e-bike company has been partnering with FREENOW for several years in many cities across Europe, and is now adding the British capital to the list of cities where its e-scooters are available.
Available Voi e-scooters are displayed on the FREENOW app, which also shows parking places and zones where e-scooters cannot be used.
Someone using the app just has to click on a coral e-scooter icon on the London map to hire a Voi e-scooter – signing up and verifying their age and identity using their driving licence if they haven’t ridden an e-scooter before.
Riders will be charged the same affordable prices for Voi e-scooters in London – just 12p a minute for pay-as-you-go with no unlock fee.
Emma Hughes, Senior Manager, Global Partnerships for Voi, said: “We hope that together with FREENOW, we’ll encourage more people to use our e-scooters to travel in London.
“Voi e-scooters are a safe, convenient, affordable and sustainable way of travelling, helping people to beat congestion and contribute to cleaner air.”
Mariusz Zabrocki, UK General Manager at FREENOW, said: “Currently, there are over 10 thousand e-bikes and e-scooters available to rent with a click of a button on the FREENOW app in Greater London, and we are delighted to add Voi e-scooters as part of this offer.
“E-scooters and e-bikes can be easily combined with the black cabs and private hire vehicles available on our platform or with existing public transport, providing a better alternative to private cars.”
Voi e-scooters and e-bikes are available in the FREENOW app in over 30 cities across Europe and the UK, including London, Oxford, Berlin, Frankfurt, Milan, Seville and Vienna.
