Yesterday saw the Great British Fleet Event roll into town at the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK for a day of networking and learning, followed by an evening of appreciation and celebration.

The dynamic event format saw an exhibition in the day, with plenty of insightful ‘Masterclass’ panel sessions, alongside opportunities to get around and see the fleet world’s industry product suppliers.

The evening saw the prestigious awards, celebrating the best of corporate motoring in the UK, from fleet managers to suppliers and manufacturers. The highlight of the evening was a very special speech from special guest Olympic diving medallist Leon Taylor.

Over the course of the day, and the evening, it was great to catch up with many familiar faces, and meet lots of great new people too, who we are pleased to warmly welcome into our growing community.

For those who visited the Ground Transport Group booth, there is one question and one question only running through everyone’s heads today – how many sweets were in the jar?!

For those who didn’t, we ran a special competition with the chance to win a £250 cash prize for correctly guessing the exact number of sweets in our super-size 5L glass jar.

Some people took 5 seconds and had a complete punt at it, whilst others climbed into some methodical methods of trying their best to win the prize.

The rules were simple: Get the number bang on and win £250. However, in the event of nobody guessing the correct number, £100 would go to the nearest guess (with the prize pot being split in the event of a tie).

So did anyone get it bang on? Sadly not on this occasion! The number of sweets that eluded everyone was 472. However, we still had £100 to give away!

The third nearest guess came from Matt Childs from Michelin Connected Fleet with a respectable guess of 455. There was no runner up as we had a tie for first place, meaning a £50 prize each being won by our two tied winners. They were Summer Croxall of Volkswagen Financial Services guessing 468 and Jacob Sutton of Compello guessing 476.

Thank you to everyone who took part, we hope you had some fun. Congratulations to the winners, your winnings are on the way. And finally, a big thank you to the incredible team at the Great British Fleet Event for a fantastic day and making us feel so welcome!

Our jar of sweets (obviously a different number) will be back in 13 days at the ITT Hub where you can find us on the EV Café Village stand.
